During my recent stay at Wasai Puerto Maldonado Eco Lodge, I had an enchanting experience exploring the Amazon jungle. The 4-hour boat trip up the river was scenic and comfortable, and the lodge itself was surrounded by pristine jungle. I loved the open-air design, with a seating area overlooking the river and dining tables set back. The bungalow I stayed in was basic but comfortable, perfect for immersing myself in the jungle atmosphere. The food was fresh and delicious, and I even had the pleasure of enjoying a cold beer in the middle of the rainforest. The excursions were a highlight, with our knowledgeable and friendly guide Boris leading us on incredible walks, boat rides, and kayaking trips to spot a variety of wildlife, including parrots, macaws, tarantulas, sloths, and even a jaguar!

The rooms were clean, spacious, and had a stunning view from the balcony. The lodge's commitment to nature conservation was evident, and we were fortunate to encounter wildlife like sloths and monkeys during our stay. The breakfast was delicious and abundant, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool with its breathtaking view of the river. We stayed at a beautiful eco lodge nestled in lush grounds. the open-air restaurant and lobby added to the natural ambiance, but we did have to contend with mosquitoes. the pool area was a nice retreat, with a waterfall and a bar, and it was not crowded. Our room was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy stay. It was a memorable experience to participate in the Ayahuasca tour, and Nina, the tour coordinator onsite, was excellent and friendly. our time at the eco lodge, including the stunning surroundings and attentive staff, was a highlight of our trip. Cons: Cannot find any fault 😊.

I loved the Eco Lodge experience at Wasai! Being in direct touch with nature was amazing. The sounds of birds and crickets in the room and facility were so relaxing. My spacious and clean room had a stunning river view, and I witnessed the best sunrise of my life. The swimming pool with its cute waterfall and bar added to the charm. The staff was friendly and English-speaking, which was important for me. The shuttle service provided to and from the airport was a valuable convenience.
It felt like being home, with nothing too much trouble.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly kind and helpful, especially the guys at the front desk. They organized two amazing tours for us, including piranha fishing and bird watching at sunset. The location of the hotel was also great, with beautiful views and a sloth and baby roaming around. The rooms were clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.
The TV in our room didn't work and the restaurant staff didn't speak English. Additionally, there wasn't much to do outside of the hotel in town, so we felt a bit limited in terms of activities.

I recently stayed at a cozy lodge nestled in a prime location near the main square and river. The room was clean and spacious, with Wi-Fi available and even sloths in the treetops for entertainment. The swimming pool provided a refreshing escape, and the staff were helpful throughout my stay.
The breakfast left something to be desired with a limited selection of fruit and not much effort put into showcasing the local cuisine.
